He married Celia Jane Richardson, daughter of Alexander RICHARDSON & Martha CHEEK, May 27, 1865, in Alleghany Co., NC. She was born Mar. 29, 1841, in Ashe Co., NC, and died Apr. 19, 1903, in Steamboat Springs, Routt Co., CO.

Notes

Civil War: Calvin J. Willey, resident of Alleghany Co., NC, enlisted as a private on May 27, 1861, at age 20, in Co. F, 22nd NC Infantry Regiment. Wounded in action in thigh at Second Battle of Manassas, Aug. 28-30, 1862. Promoted to Sgt. on May 1, 1863. Reduced to ranks before Sept. 1, 1864. Paroled at Appomattox Courthouse on Apr. 9, 1865.
