William Aaron Kennedy (or Aaron William Kennedy), son of William B. KENNEDY & Rachel THOMPSON, was born abt. 1824 in Wilkes Co., NC, and died bet. 1860-1870 in Wilkes Co., NC. He married Amanda Edwards, daughter Young EDWARDS, Jr., & Catherine COX, Nov. 22, 1855, in Ashe Co., NC. She was born June 11, 1834, in Ashe Co., NC, and died Oct. 31, 1903, in Alleghany Co., NC. Amanda Edwards Kennedy is buried at the Glade Creek Church in Hooker, Alleghany Co., NC. William Kennedy is probably buried in Wilkes Co., NC.

(2) her 1st cousin, Moses "Mode" WOODRUFF, son of Moses O. WOODRUFF & Mary Little KENNEDY (b. Sept. 3, 1858; d. Aug. 26, 1938).
  3. T. Woodforth Kennedy, b. abt. 1860, Wilkes Co., NC; d. aft. 1934 in Iowa; m. (1) unk., abt. 1899; m. (2) Pearl, abt. 1915 (b. abt. 1883 in Iowa, d. ?)  He was living with his uncle David Edwards in Lawrence Co., IN, in 1880.  He later moved to Louisa Co., IA, where he appears in the census from 1910-1930.
